| Love is wonderful. | | |
| You know...there's been sometimes in my life where I completely forget what an amazing person I am. Not in an unbelieveably cocky way...like I'm so wonderful, you should adore me. More of like the...give yourself a bit of credit, way. I don't know if its that you get caught up in every day life and your mind is focused on other things...or you really forget. Either way..its good to remember every now and then that you're worth a damn. Everyone has a talent. Everyone has a brilliant insight. Everyone is smart. Everyone has the ability to do something great. Whether they realize this or strive for it is for each individual to decide. But everyone needs to remember that they are special. Pardon the cliche'. But its true! I need to think ... I'm naturally beautiful. I'm smart. I'm a really good actress who has a style all her own. We need to think about this sometimes...what makes us great. Why we're worthy. Why love finds us. Why things fall into place.
And another thing. Please follow your dreams. No, I'm serious, this relates. I go to Subway, and I sit eating my delicious turkey breast sub and I look around..and I see 40 year old men making my sandwich and I see 40 year old women in post office uniforms and I think....what was their dream? What did they go to college for? Did they use to sing every chance they got? Did they apply for Harvard cause it was their dream school? What happened? It really depresses me. Don't lose the sense of self. Don't lose the confidence. Please, for the love of God, believe in yourself.
While you're here..marriage..love...all that stuff. So many times it can go so badly for so many people. They start off in love and happy. The perfect couple where the groom carries the bride across the doorstep and the wife cleans for fun. But then something goes terribly wrong. I don't know how. I don't know when but something changes so dramatically, yet so gradually. I believe the key is giving, without thought of receival. I believe humility is key. I believe you can't be hardened. Stay soft. Stay loving. Build on friendship. Don't let tiny things become huge. Be the first to apologize. Love is the most powerful force in this world. I believe that more than anything. Nick has been the best thing to ever happen to me. He is such a brilliant, thoughtful person. I waited my whole life for the perfect guy..but when he showed up...he made the perfect guy look like a perfect idiot. He's taught me so much. That's why I'm the luckiest girl in the world. Because I have the best friend anyone could ever have..and I'm worth something. | | |
